WorldTracer Tablet: FAQs
- How do I connect external devices, such as a scanner or portable printer?
- Connect to your scanner and printer on the tablet using Settings > Bluetooth.
- Why is the printer button disabled after creating a file?
- Your printer is not connected to the tablet. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, ensure that Bluetooth is enabled and your printer is connected to the tablet. Compatible printers include QLN220 and Zebra 610.
- What is a Found Bag?
- In the WorldTracer Tablet user interface, an On-Hand Bag is called a Found Bag.
- What happens if I create files when my internet connection is down?
- Quick On-Hands are automatically uploaded once the internet connection returns. Other types of files are saved as drafts. You must open each draft and manually create the file so it can be sent to the WorldTracer database.
- Why can’t I create a file, even though I have entered all elements in the different tabs?
- Ensure that you have saved the bag and flight information on each of those tabs, and the mandatory icon is not displayed in any of the tabs.
- Where can I enable notifications to passengers on file creation, as I would using Automate Messages in the Passenger tab in WorldTracer?
- In WorldTracer Tablet, the option to notify the passenger is under Notifications in the More tab.
- How can I enter unknown flight information in an On-Hand Bag File?
- In the Flight tab, tap Add Unknown Flight in the Flight Details section. Do not enter YY as the flight airline.
- How do I add photos of a bag to a file?

In an On-Hand Bag or Damaged Bag File: Bag tab, scroll to the right to Bag Photos, tap the camera icon and take a photo.
- How do I obtain a passenger's signature for customs?
- In a Delayed Bag File: More tab > Customs Form > Tap to Sign.
- How do I find an existing file?
- Tap Completed a list of files specific to the device and the login airline will be displayed.
- Tap Search, in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen, to find files owned by your station. If you tap Search the By Criteria Type default will display DELAYED. Tap DELAYED to select an alternative Report Type option (DAMAGED, ON-HAND, FORWARD). Search By Storage Location only returns matching Delayed and On-Hand Bag files. Files assigned to Headquarters (HDQ) are not included in the search results. If you tap Search the By File Reference Number Type default will display DELAYED. Tap DELAYED to select an alternative Report Type option (DAMAGED, ON-HAND, DELAYED).
- How do I search for existing Forward reports?
- Tap Search >By Criteria>Report Type>Forward
An agent can now search Forward reports By Criteria. The search will return Forward ( FWD, FAH, FOH, FLZ) files. You will only be able to view details or summary of FWD only.
- How can I display the history including the match history of a file?
- Display the report and tap the i information icon next to the file reference number. Note: in order to see the file history, the file must be matched in advance.
- Can I add a Find My Item Location URL to a Delayed Bag report?
- Yes. During the creation and updating of a Delayed Bag report, in the Baggage tracking section, you can add the URL provided by the passenger for a bag. Note: the Find My Item Location option must be configured in World Tracer.
- Can I add an automatic rush tag for a Delayed/On-Hand bag/forward to Headquarter bag?
- Yes. For a Forward Held /Forward On- Hand/Forward to Headquarters bag report, the automatic rush tag default is enabled. Tap Home > Completed or tap Search> open file> Forward Held Bag Report or Forward On-Hand Report or Forward to Headquarter Report > Bag Tag add the automatic rush tag..
- How do I suspend a Bag Tag number or Color type individually?

Delayed Bag file or On-hand Bag file:
- More>Suspend Bag(s)>BAG TAG>Select BAG TAG>>ADD>Viewlist>Done
- More>Suspend Bag(s)>BAG TAG>Select COLOR/TYPE>ADD>Viewlist>Done

The BagCard View will update and the text SUSPENDED will highlight the Bag Tag number or Color type that have been suspended.
- How do I know a Bag Tag number and Color Type is Suspended on a Manage Bags screen while creating a BDO?
- Create BDO>Manage Bags. Orange marks indicate when a bag or color type has been suspended.
- Can I reprint a BDO label?
- Yes. Select the required BDO in the Completed Reports list, open and print the file.
- Can I use the Training Mode in WorldTracer Tablet?
- Yes. Select Training Mode in the login page before you log in. You cannot change from active to training mode when you are logged in.
- Can I scan a bag tag and create a file?
- Yes, you can scan a bag tag while creating a Delayed Bag/Damaged/On-Hand Bag file. Login > select the required file> tap Scan Bag Tag .
- How do I log out?
- In the Home screen, tap Options > Logout.
- I can access WorldTracer Desktop, but not WorldTracer Tablet, why is that?
- Your user account is missing the role permission to access the tablet application. Ask your WorldTracer coordinator to update your user account and add the permission for WorldTracer Tablet.
